Chiefs Capture Gold at the Pacific Coast Female Classic

The Chiefs had an exceptional weekend at the Pacific Coast Female Classic in Richmond, British Columbia. The tournament not only marked another step forward in the team’s development but also served as an opportunity to strengthen their collective identity and unity both on and off the ice.

The weekend began with a convincing 4-0 victory over HC Fairbanks. The Chiefs controlled the pace throughout the game, generating numerous scoring opportunities while maintaining defensive structure. Goaltender Kaydence Loendorf was sharp, earning the shutout, while Ruth Lamoureux was named Player of the Game for her consistent effort and high-level play at both ends of the ice.

In their second matchup of the day, the Chiefs continued to build momentum with a 9-2 win over the Victoria Reigns. The group’s puck movement and offensive creativity came to life, demonstrating improved connection and confidence. Sawyer Milani earned Player of the Game for her dominant offensive performance and strong presence throughout the contest.

Saturday morning’s Game 3 against the Wild Angels highlighted the team’s balance and depth. Elpitha Dimos was outstanding on the blue line, contributing defensively and offensively while recording her first career hat trick. Her leadership and complete performance earned her Player of the Game honors as the Chiefs secured another solid victory.

The momentum carried into the semi-final against the North Island Impact, where the Chiefs once again dictated play. Kylee Leischner led the way offensively with a strong, determined effort that set the tone for the team. Her performance earned her Player of the Game as the Chiefs advanced to the gold medal final.

In the championship game against the hometown Richmond Ravens, the Chiefs came out with energy and purpose, scoring five goals in the opening two periods and maintaining full control en route to a decisive gold medal win. Elyssa Erickson was recognized as Player of the Game for her steady leadership and composed play throughout the tournament.

While the Chiefs’ success on the scoreboard was impressive, the true highlight of the weekend was the team’s progress in building chemistry and unity. Each player embraced their role, supported one another, and contributed to a shared standard of excellence. The tournament was a valuable step forward in fine-tuning the group’s cohesion, communication, and collective identity as they continue to grow stronger together.
